Shani focuses on helping leaders develop the mindsets and skills they need to reach their full potential. She works with both teams and individuals to help them step up and get results. Since founding Cognitas, she has managed the design and launch of leadership development programmes. She has also supported individuals and leadership teams in setting direction and executing effectively.
Before Cognitas:
Shani worked for The Trium Group, where she helped found the London office and managed a variety of leadership engagements with clients in the private, public and international development sectors. Shani has a strong background in strategy: first at McKinsey and then in private equity, venture capital and M&A, including Virgin Management and Cable & Wireless. She has also developed her coaching skills through professional practice and training over the past few years. She has lived and worked globally and has deep experience in cross-cultural business.
Shani holds a BA in Economics, Geography and International Studies from the University of Miami, an MSc in Development Studies from the London School of Economics and a Certificate in Corporate Finance from London Business School. She has completed an Advanced Course in Executive Coaching. She is fluent in English, Italian, Spanish and French and speaks intermediate German and basic Portuguese and Arabic.
When not at work:
Shani has been spotted trekking on a glacier in Central Asia, mountain biking in Vietnam, rafting down the Nile and digging herself out of deep snow in the Alps. She enjoys yoga, baroque and renaissance music and pretending to cook. She is toying with signing up for her second triathlon.
